Tell
me more about CPD
The concept behind Continuing Professional Development
To encourage the highest standards of professionalism and generally
improve their technical knowledge, every architect in practice is
required by the Royal Institute of British Architects to attain 35
hours and 100 points of Continuing Professional Development (CPD),
every year. These hours and points can be achieved in a number of
ways, a popular solution is where members of the RIBA CPD Providers
Network are invited to the architect's practices to hold lunchtime
group seminars.
What
is the Providers Network?
The prestigious Providers Network is made up of companies offering
products and services to the architectural, construction and building
products markets. Each of them has the opportunity to present these
products and services to a captive audience on a regular basis. There
are other promotional benefits too, all intended to help raise member's
profiles.
How
can we become a member?
A review of your company and product or service with RIBA Enterprises
will facilitate step one in joining the network. Step two - your company
will need to submit seminar topic material(s) and satisfy the rigorous
assessment procedure of the RIBA. We are fully conversant with the
criteria set by RIBA assessors and are able to research and write
this submission for you. Many manufacturers have gained full approval
for their seminars, quickly and efficiently, as a direct result of
our involvement.
Will
we be able to get further help once we become a member?
The Creative Department has a wealth of experience in all aspects
of CPD work and can offer specialist help in all sorts of ways.
