Administering
seminars on behalf of providers
Organising seminars with architectural practices can be a time consuming
process. It potentially involves scores, possibly even hundreds of
events - a level of activity that could well require a dedicated,
full time member of your staff. This is a big commitment and for many
companies, outsourcing to The Creative Department is a very real alternative.
Our experience ranges from knowing the core RIBA administrative and
procedural requirements, through to recommending the most appropriate
catering resources.
This
usually involves three main areas of activity:
- On
receipt of a seminar request
Ring the Practice and establish suitable dates - check the client's
availability. Produce posters and send to practice to encourage
practice employees to attend the in-house seminar. Obtain estimates
for the catering requirements. Provisionally book caterers. Confirm
all actions to client. Complete the RIBA seminar notification form.
- Three
days prior
Call the practice and establish final number of attendees. Confirm
catering order. Print seminar review forms Make arrangements to
meet manufacturer's representative at venue. Obtain location map
and local details from practice and forward to client presenter.
- The
day after the presentation
Collect feedback forms, photocopy, and send one set to client. Input
feedback to analysis spreadsheet and send report to client. Produce
certificates for all attendees and send to practice. Complete official
form of attendees and send to RIBA. Schedule next seminar in database
for 10 months time.
