RIBA
CPD Providers Network Directory
RIBA CPD Providers Network
Twice yearly |
|

|
The
RIBA CPD Providers Network Directory is published primarily to provide
architects and other construction professionals with comprehensive
reference material, which enables them to benefit from legitimate
Continuing Professional Development. In addition, the directory
is a source of technical information and contains a wealth of contact
details from which seminars, or tours, can be arranged.
Published twice a year, the latest edition contains over 500 pages
of information that require constant monitoring and updating. It
needs design input, print management and mailing - all within a
guaranteed three-month deadline. The Creative Department was commissioned
to handle the project in its entirety.
Initially, a design style had to be established that was sophisticated
enough to appeal to both providers and users alike, but one that
also allowed for scalability of the directory for future editions.
Hand-in-hand with the design styling were the recommendations as
to how the directory might best be structured for ease of use. Colour
coding throughout for easy identification of the different sections,
a full alphabetical listing of all 300 Members on the Providers
Network, a cross-reference format that relates subject index to
product area
and other practical requirements such as pre-printed, perforated
faxback forms for course bookings have all evolved over time.
With the amount of material flowing through and amendments constantly
being made, a project such as this ideally needs a mutual 'real
time' system for both client and agency, so that the latest information
is always available to view. To achieve this The Creative Department
have a secure project management system, hosted on their own website,
which is accessible to both parties by password.
The final stages, involve digital artwork, print management, proofing
and mailing fulfilment. At this point our job is done, until next
time that is.
