The principle of Continuing Professional Development is now well established with many companies and professional bodies. The RIBA CPD Providers Network’s purpose being to encourage the highest standards of professionalism, conduct and best practice amongst architects and other construction professionals, and to improve technical knowledge and expertise
over a vast range of subjects.

At The Creative Department, we are closely associated with aspects of the scheme operated by The Royal Institute of British Architects. We handle the RIBA CPD press relations activity and the production of their
Providers Directory.

Even for the most dedicated CPD Providers though, everyday commercial life must take priority and companies often feel they do not have the in-house resources to deal with the considerable demands of their CPD programme. Consequently, in recent months we have become increasingly involved in the research, writing, approval, management and even presentation of CPD Seminars for the Providers themselves.

One of our partners, Adrian Hargreaves, is a qualified architect with industry experience and this is proving extremely useful for a number of our clients requiring CPD support.

In particular, Welsh Slate (a division of Alfred McAlpine Group) have commissioned Adrian to create two CPD Seminars, confident in the knowledge that we have the we have the experience to produce material that will meet the requirements of the rigorous RIBA assessment and approval process We are involved with Welsh Slate with the day-to-day management of seminar coordination and planning. All live CPD seminars are presented by The Creative Department.

Protan (single-ply roofing membranes), Nedap (access control & security) and Radmat (waterproofing systems) are amongst our other current clients who are also actively involving us in various aspects of their CPD writing, assessment and general management requirements.
